Looking after the Little ones
If you become separated from your child at any point during the festival, don’t worry – we have a dedicated Lost Children Point with our trained safeguarding team who are there to help reunite families quickly and safely.
Before you arrive, it’s a great idea to:
- Take a photo of your child on the day so you know what they’re wearing.
- Make sure your child is wearing their festival wristband.
- Write your contact telephone number clearly on their wristband before entering the festival.
If your child becomes lost, please speak to the nearest Hive Family Festival team member, wearing a lanyard and RED ‘Management’ wristband.
Please do not let children roam the festival site unattended.
Children should always be accompanied.
Stay Hydrated
Summer festivals are thirsty work!
We’ll have free water refill points available next to the toilets. These points offer safe to drink water.
Please bring an empty reusable water bottle to refill during the day. Staying hydrated will help keep everyone feeling happy and energised.
Sun Safety
Hopefully we’ll be enjoying plenty of sunshine!
Remember to:
- Apply sun cream before you arrive.
- Reapply it regularly throughout the day.
- Wear hats and lightweight clothing where possible.
- Take regular breaks in shaded areas if you need to cool down.
Enjoy Alcohol Responsibly
Our licensed bars will be serving a range drinks throughout the day (12pm – 9pm).
We want Hive Family Festival to be a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, so we kindly ask all adults to drink responsibly and look out for those around them.
Anyone who appears excessively intoxicated may be refused service or asked to leave the festival.
Be Kind
Hive Family Festival is all about bringing people together through music, creativity and family fun. Please be respectful to fellow festival-goers, our performers, volunteers and event staff so everyone can enjoy an amazing day together.
Photography & Media
Our media team will be capturing the day through photography and video, including performances, the atmosphere, and activities taking place across the festival site.
If you would prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please let our photographer or videographer know and they will do their best to accommodate your request.
Need Help?
Our friendly team will be around the festival all day and are always happy to help. If you have any questions or need assistance, simply speak to one of our stewards, volunteers or event staff.
Now all that’s left to do is explore the festival, enjoy over 50 performances, activities and experiences, discover your favourite acts using the set times, and make some unforgettable family memories!
Have an incredible day!
