Promoter
The competition is promoted by Hive Family Festival (“the Promoter”).
Eligibility
The competition is open to solo artists and groups where all performers are aged 17 or under on the date of the festival (8 August 2026).
Proof of age may be required.
Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
How to Enter
To enter, applicants must complete the official application form and submit:
1 – A video performance featuring at least one verse and one chorus of an original song or cover.
2 – Written information outlining the type of songs they would perform if selected (e.g. genre, original material or covers, and overall style).
Video submissions must be accessible via a working link or uploaded in the format specified by the Promoter.
Entries must be received no later than 11:59pm on 30 March 2026. Late or incomplete entries will not be considered.
Content Requirements
Performances must be suitable for a family-friendly audience.
Lyrics or content deemed offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate will result in disqualification at the Promoter’s discretion.
By entering, applicants confirm they have the right to perform and submit the material provided.
Judging & Selection
All eligible entries will be reviewed by a panel selected by the Promoter.
The winner will be chosen based on performance quality, originality, suitability for the festival audience, and overall potential.
The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Prize
One winner will receive:
A 30-minute live performance slot opening the Hive Family Festival main stage on 8 August 2026.
A cash prize of £100 (GBP).
No alternative prizes will be offered.
Performance Conditions
The winner must be available to perform on 8 August 2026.
A parent or legal guardian must be present on the day of the performance.
Standard festival technical specifications will apply and will be provided in advance.
Failure to attend or perform may result in forfeiture of the prize.
Permissions & Publicity
A parent or legal guardian’s consent will be required to perform and to receive the prize.
By entering, applicants (and their guardians where applicable) agree to the Promoter using their name, image, video submissions, and performance footage for promotional purposes without additional compensation.
Liability
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for lost, delayed, or corrupted entries.
The Promoter is not responsible for any costs incurred by entrants in relation to entering the competition or attending the festival.
General
The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition if circumstances beyond its control make this necessary.
Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
